Dancewear consists of many items that are designed specifically for the dance activity. These items include: dance shirts. dance shorts. dance socks. dance tights.
Ballet: Ballet is a style of French art dance that have gained popularity in recent years and include many steps, leaps, and twists that mirror our own moves on the dance floors. Two of the most common pieces of balletwear include a leotard (a long, form-fitting garment that holds the body), and a skirt (a floor-length dress that allows full movement on the floors). Other items include ballet tights, tutus, and Pointe skirts. Ballet shoes can be elaborate and include a heel, arch, or platform sole. Tights, skirts, and leotards are all part of the ballet wardrobe.
Jazz: Jazz dancers use various dancewear items that are inspired by jazz styles and cultures. Dancers at a jazz club may wear a sequin shirt or blouse with bell bottoms, or a skirt with a bell and tie. Dancers at a bar may wear a fitted sheet cover to show off their figure. Other popular styles of jazz include Latin, break dance, fusion, cabaret, hip-hop, and pop. As a student of dance, you will want to know which styles of dance are most common in your dance classes and be prepared to incorporate these styles into your own dance routines when you teach.
